Just not that into me?

What is it with this guy?  Let see you leave the country for a month with no correspondence, then to return with a "hi how are you?, I am back" text?  "Who does that?"  What is that supposed to mean?  I wonder what they think?  Do we really just sit at home waiting for their return? And does he think I should!
